Sister Rochelle M. Elliott, PM
Chairperson of Grand Starlight Committee
Is a natural born leader. She knows how to get the job done. “Shelly” as she is affectionately called by her family and friends is employed by the Camden City Board of Education and serves as the Confidential Secretary for the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction (K-12).
Sister Elliott is a dedicated member of Zion Baptist Church where her husband Reverend William L. Elliott, is the esteemed pastor. She serves as a Deaconess and a Trustee in her church, a member of the Graduate Club, Pastor’s Aide and Praise Dance Ministries. She currently serves as President of the Senior Usher Ministry and in charge of the Youth Usher Ministry. Deaconess Elliott serves as the church’s’ Financial Secretary.
Sister Elliott belongs to several civic organizations. She served as Vice President for the Board of Directors of Martin Luther King Child Development Center and is currently a board member. She serves as the 2nd Vice President for the Ushers’ Union and Ladies Auxiliary of Camden and Vicinity, 1st Vice President of the Nurses’ Unit of Bethany Baptist Association.
Her Masonic affiliations include: Past Matron of Greenland Chapter #32, Past Royal Perfect Matron of Joshua Court #1, Ladies of the Circle of Perfection, Member of Primrose Assembly #9, Order of the Golden Circle, Member of Cyrenaica Royal Court #11, Order of Cyrenes, Member of Zamora Court #135, Daughters of Isis, Member of Fiha Court #13, Heroines of Jericho, and serves as the Grand Secretary of Celestial Grand Court, Order of Cyrene.
Sister Elliott joined the order in June 1997 with the mindset that she was coming to be a SERVANT to the Order and is carrying out that vision by serving her Chapter in various offices, elected and appointed. She is currently serving as Associate Matron of Greenland Chapter #32. She has served the First District in many positions and committees. She has served Oziel Grand Chapter as Grand Christian Flag Bearer in 2004, Matron of the Year 2004 – 2005, Souvenir Journal Chairperson 2005 - 2006, member of the Grand Education/Scholarship Committee 2006 – present, Queen Pageant Chairperson 2008 – 2010, currently serving as Starlight Chairperson/Editor.
Sister Elliott enjoys the Order and has enjoyed serving District #1 as District Deputy Grand Matron 2006 – 2008. She works closely with the Youth Felicitares. She is the loving mother of two, Ariana J. Williams, Past President for the Youth Felicitares and Ajee’ T. Williams, Unit #32 who served as Head Marshal.
Her favorite scripture is “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.”
